Bill's Service Center is an authorized service center for select major brands — Ariens, Gravely, Hustler, RedMax and Stihl equipment, and Briggs & Stratton, Kawasaki and Kohler engines. We focus on repairing gas-powered equipment, not electrical tools.Effective May 12, 2023: We are no longer repairing lawn mowers made by Husqvarna or mowers made by Husqvarna that are branded with names such as Poulan, Poulan Pro, Dixon, Jonsered, etc. Craftsman lawn mowers that have a model number beginning with 917 were also made by Husqvarna. A $25 minimum, non-refundable deposit will be required for most lawn mowers, pressure washers, generators, tillers and handheld equipment (e.g., blowers, chainsaws, trimmers, etc.) at the time they are dropped off or picked up by one of our drivers.
A $40 minimum, non-refundable deposit will be required for most rear engine riders, lawn tractors, stand-on equipment, zero-turn radius (ZTR) mowers, commercial walk-behind mowers, trailers, and service trucks at the time they are dropped off or picked up by one of our drivers.
Staff reserves the right to modify the amount of the deposit based on the type of equipment and/or type of repair.
The deposit will be applied to the final bill.

All rear engine riders, lawn tractors, zero-turn radius (ZTR) mowers, trailers and service trucks will be subject to a minimum shop / diagnosis fee of $40.
Any diagnosis that exceeds 20 minutes of shop time will be billed at the current shop rate. (For example, the diagnosis of a ZTR hydraulic system may take 45 minutes and would therefore be billed at $54.)
Shop / diagnosis fees will be charged if the equipment or engine is deemed non-repairable or too costly to repair.

General repairs are taken on a first come, first served basis. One exclusion to this policy is warranty work for equipment and engines that were purchased from Bill's — Ariens, Briggs & Stratton, Gravely, Hustler, Kawasaki, Kohler, RedMax, Ryan and Stihl. Equipment and engines purchased elsewhere do not receive priority warranty status.
Our workload remains steady throughout the year with a spike during peak grass-growing season, periods of intense weather or high demand situations, such as winter service. The days of having a "winter lull" are a thing of the past. We rarely have a shop wait of less than two weeks at any time of the year.
Customers seeking routine maintenance or repairs of spring/summer equipment such as blowers, trimmers, mowers and ZTRs are encouraged to have this work completed before spring hits. Customers with riding equipment can take advantage of our popular Winter Service Special.

This service is offered for customers in Cottleville, Dardenne Prairie, Defiance, Flint Hill, Foristell, Harvester, Josephville, Lake St. Louis, Moscow Mills, New Melle, O'Fallon, Old Monroe, Orchard Farm, Portage des Sioux, St. Charles, St. Paul, St. Peters, Troy, Warrenton, Weldon Spring, Wentzville, Winfield, and Wright City.
If a pick up is scheduled in person or by phone, half of the pick up / delivery fee ($37.50), plus a minimum deposit ($25-40), will be collected and is non-refundable once the equipment has been picked up. Customers will be charged the balance of the pick up / delivery fee ($37.50) if a non-repaired unit is delivered.
Customers looking for an inexpensive option may also rent one of our trailers. Please call our Rental staff for details.

Blade assemblies with missing parts will be repaired before pick up. Parts and labor will be billed separately.
Hedge trimmer blade sharpening is not done in-house. The wait time for this service will usually be a minimum of one week. Further delays may be experienced if missing parts from the blade assembly are not in stock.
